Enjoy a half day experience to get acquainted with the local sights and the power of this fantastic RIB Boat, as you are whisked off on a half day experience with the skipper and all equipment included! Enjoy sitting back as you zoom across the water at speeds reaching 60mph! The commercial skipper on board will do everything possible to make this ride as exciting and enjoyable as possible, knowing exactly where to go and how to use the boat to get maximum pleasure from those on board! You'll stop at places such as the scenic old yachting town of Cowes, on the Isle of Wight for a drink/snack break at an old waterside Smugglers Inn.

Portsmouth

On your arrival you will be welcomed by the staff who will ask you to sign in, and will then familiarise you with the experience. You will then be introduced to your skipper and issued with life jackets and waterproofs as required. The skipper will then guide you down to the pontoons where a pre-boarding safety brief will be given. After familiarisation with the vessel you’ll depart Gunwharf Quay for a brief tour of Portsmouth’s historic harbour before heading out into the Solent. You’ll weave amongst the Napoleonic stone forts that span the Solent (The Palmerston Follies) then head west to Cowes, viewing Priory Bay, then Queen Victoria’s summer palace, Osbourne House. Then it’s off again to Cowes, to enjoy the ambience of lunch/drinks among the ancient cobbled streets and alley ways of this sailing mecca. Finally you depart the Isle of Wight, to head back east towards the inspiring Spinnaker Tower, during which time the skipper will put the RIB through it’s paces.

Please arrive at the centre 30 minutes before the experience is due to start. The Half Day RIB Excursion will last for approx 3 - 3 ½ hours.

Spectators are welcome to come to the site, and departures / returns can be viewed, although the majority of the experience cannot be viewed from the shore line. However, this experience operates from Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth harbor - which is a major retail destination, and combines some 30 bars and restaurants to entertain your friends and family as they await your return!

Available between April and October. Please note there will be up to 9 other passengers taking part on the day.

You will be provided with a life jacket.
Please bring: Sunglasses, Suntan lotion and a warm clothing item as necessary.
Please wear a T-Shirt, Jeans or casual clothes plus soft soled shoes or trainers (and a change of clothes for your return as there’s the distinct possibility of getting wet! )
