Experience the pleasure and picturesque views from flying a vintage Tiger Moth at the home of the Festival of Speed, as you fly an open cockpit 1943 G APFU across the world famous venue.

Experience flying a vintage plane at one of the UK's motoring homes, as you take a 1943 G-APFU Tiger Moth for a fantastically 'hands-on' trial flight around the grounds of Goodwood! Experience the flying thrills of the open cockpit as you soar through the skies with an expert pilot behind you. With this great flying experience, you can actually take the controls of the vintage aerobatic plane and enjoy piloting a staple of history - this particular plane was commonly used as a pilot-trainer, and you can play the pilot on this fantastic vintage flying day.

Your Goodwood Tiger Moth experience will begin with a welcome introduction and safety briefing, covering the grounds and the vintage plane that you are to be piloting on this majestic flying experience, held at the home of 'The Festival of Speed' - Goodwood. Once briefed and ready to go, you'll clamber into the safety equipment and make your way to the plane, ready to take to the skies for 15minutes of flying time (around 30minutes total experience time) before bringing her down to a safe landing to be presented with a signed certificate of your day.

Minimum Age: 18
Please contact if you are above 6'5" or weigh more than 18 stone.

Please allow half a day at the centre.

The experience will last for around half an hour, and the actual flight time will be around 15minutes.

There isn’t a limit on spectators and they are more than welcome and can help themselves to tea and coffee with the drivers. There is viewing on top of the pits area and in the areas designated and explained by the staff managing the activity.

The Goodwood Tiger Moth Experience is available on weekdays from April - October.

Please dress in warm casual comfortable clothes, and wear soft flat-soled shoes. It will be chilly up there so layers are advised, and sunglasses to protect from the glare and take in all of the sights!

All safety equipment is provided by the centre, including flight jacket, helmet & headset.

The Goodwood Tiger Moth Experience is affected by poor weather conditions. The centre will call you on the day if it needs to be rearranged.
