Chocks away! You're about to take a flight in a genuine de Havilland Tiger Moth - the quintessential English biplane. Absorb the magnificent views from the open cockpit as you fly over the rolling British countryside with the wind in your hair. You'll experience open cockpit flying and relive the golden era of aviation when flying was all about adventure, freedom and fun.
Your experience will start with a comprehensive briefing during which you will be issued with your flying jacket & helmet. You will then take to the skies in the Tiger Moth. Your flying instructor will offer you the controls of the aircraft and will coach you through some basic maneuvers to make this a hands-on experience. You will land back at the airfield where you will have a debrief with your pilot and be presented with a flight certificate to remember your day with.

Duration
The experience will last around an hour in total; the flight will be around 20 minutes.
What to Wear / Equipment
You will be supplied with flying jacket, helmet & headset. Dress comfortably and wear flat soled shoes, warm clothing is recommended as are sunglasses.

Spectators are welcome and there are facilities to get refreshments at most of the centres.

Flying is weather dependent. Please call the centre before setting off to ensure your flight is going ahead.

Available from April to October.
Restrictions
Minimum age is 12. Maximum weight 16 stone. Minimum height 4'11''.
Unsuitable for pregnant women or anyone unable to climb into the open cockpit.
