Surfing is perhaps the purest of all the extreme sports, it has an iconic status and proud history. There is a certain romance in surfing which comes from man harnessing some of the world's most beautiful and powerful natural forces. Millions of people around the world surf and it isn't as hard to learn as you may think, you need to learn the basics correctly from the start and then it's all practice, practice, practice. Our Improver course is designed for people who have mastered the basics and looking to hone their skills under the expert tuition and guidance of a qualified instructor. We have selected some of the UK's finest surfing locations and with our British Surfing Association qualified coaches you can expect to receive the best possible instruction to ensure that you will progress as fast as possible. This course is suitable for those that have a lesson or two under their belt and looking to develop new skills under the watchful eye of an instructor.

The course is designed for people who have done some surfing before and looking to refine techniques, whilst given the opportunity to practice new skills in a safe environment under the watchful eye of an Instructor. With the Improver lessons, you will learn about how to turn, catch unbroken waves, surf etiquette, surfing further out, suitable equipment for yourself, surfing conditions, and generally build on your surfing repertoire in a safe and fun environment. The course comprises of two lessons, each lasting about 2 hours, which can be taken back to back, or over a couple of days. We recommend that you don’t leave too much of a gap between lessons, so that things are still fresh. After this course you will be well on your way to being a certified surf dude!
