The glamorous skills of stunt drivers in Hollywood action movies can very often leave you desperate to jump in the old motor and practice for yourself a few handbrake turns and reverse J-turns. Well, as well as being highly dangerous and extremely expensive (should it go wrong) it is very difficult to learn such amazing feats of car control. Well here it is, a lesson in how to maneuver a car in such unthinkable ways! With expert tuition at your side, you will learn how to execute perfect handbrake turns, reverse J-turns, sideways sliding and high speed chases! This really is the glamorous side of driving mixed into one great experience. This superb high adrenalin day will also give you the chance to be the hero and the villain in a high speed game of ‘Cops & Robbers’. Then, after you’ve irreversibly improved your driving skills it's time to see how the pros do it with a white knuckle passenger ride in a 300bhp rally car!

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with a thorough safety briefing covering all aspects of high speed car control. After the meeting with your specialist instructors it’s time to learn some maneuvers! You will learn precision Handbrake turns, Reverse 180 degree flicks (J turns), accelerating hard in reverse gear and then spinning the car around 180 degrees whilst selecting forward gear and accelerating forward so that no momentum is lost. You'll be given lots of practice at the great Airfield Venue with expert and friendly tuition.

You'll also learn and practice the art of Power sliding a car, using throttle balance and opposite lock steering to control the slide. You'll experience and learn how to handle understeer and oversteer, which is great fun but could one day possibly save your life! Finally you'll finish with the grand finale - The Cops 'n' Robbers chase! You'll drive both the get away car being chased, and the Cop car doing the chasing, using your new found skills around our purpose built course.

You must have a full UK/ International driving licence to participate.

This is a half day experience and will last for approx 3 1/2 hours

You will be in a group of no more than 4 people on the day. Spectators may be able to experience a High Speed Rally ride in a 300bhp 4 wheel drive Rally car that is currently used in real competition with a Pro Rally driver behind the wheel. This can be booked on the day and is subject to availability.

The Rally driving experience is run on selected Saturdays from March - November. Group bookings can be made all year round if there are sufficient numbers.

Please wear comfortable clothes suitable for the time of year and soft soled sensible shoes e.g. trainers

This activity can be affected by extreme weather conditions e.g. high winds. Please call the centre prior to the experience.
