These crazy 'river craft' were invented in New Zealand and we are pleased to offer you the chance to have a go in the white waters of Scotland. River Bugs are a cross between a white water raft and an armchair! River bugs are a single person craft, made up of inflatable chambers behind and beside the user. These chambers ensure that you stay on top of the water, while extra thick padding turns colliding with rocks into a low-impact dodgems ride. This is a really fun experience that will definitely have you grinning from ear to ear!
Your day will start at the centre where you will meet your instructors and be given a safety briefing and a 'how to' run down on River Bugging. You will be taught how to operate the craft - you steer it using special webbed gloves, and then taken out to play on the river! After learning a few basic skills, you will be able to run the rapids, catch eddies, surf standing waves and even pirouette! At the end of the session you will return to the centre.
