The Porsche Type 997 is the project code name for the current version of the sports car Porsche 911. The 997 is the most commercially successful 911 of all time. The Turbo model can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in about 3.4 seconds with an automatic transmission and 3.7 seconds with the manual transmission. The GT3, the original Porsche 996 GT3 RS had a production run from 2003 to 2005. The "RS" moniker, and the characteristic blue or red wheels and "GT3 RS" side stickers link the GT3 RS to historically important Porsche's such as the Carrera 2.7 RS of the early 1970s. Automobile magazines claim the GT3 RS can accelerate from 0-60 mph in about 4.3 seconds and have a top speed of around 190 mph using the 996 GT3's 380hp engine.
Your day will start with a welcome introduction which will include a safety briefing and the necessary circuit techniques. At Prestwold Hall you will have 2 demonstration laps in a BMW Alpina D3 and you will drive 4 fantastic laps in the renowned Porsche 997/GT3. At Oxford and Yorkshire you shall receive 2 driving sessions behind the wheel of 4 laps (8 laps in total). Your day will be completed with receiving your individual driving certificate.
