The pole dancing intro course is a great 6 week course perfect for anyone with an intrest in poledancing and ideal for all women who want to get fit, have a laugh, learn some sexy moves or just try something new. The classes are fun and you should come prepared for a giggle. It is a great way to have a laugh with new friends and have a drink after. Most people leave the class on a high and this feeling can be quite addictive. Pole dancing is a lot more strenuous than it looks: a good session on the pole can burn more calories than a good session in the gym, and will provide many unforeseen advantages including muscle tone, finding new muscles you never knew about, confidence, improved posture and something pretty interesting to tell your friends, partner and even your family!
During the course you will learn a catalogue of tricks and dance moves with between 10 and 12 girls in the class you’ll have plenty of time to perfect you’re technique. At the end of the course you put on a small show for fellow students. You will then officially be………. a Pole Dancing Star!
Quite a few students feel intimidated by the pole, which is completely natural. Don't worry, you'll quickly get used to the whole experience and before you know it you will be swinging around like Tarzan (....well Jane).Come with an open mind and be prepared to make a mistake or two, it's half the fun. You should expect to come home a little sore if you've entered the spirit of the class, but if you follow the instructors, you're not going to injure yourself.

Duration
The Pole Dancing course lasts six weeks. Sessions generally begin at 7pm and last for 2 hours.
What to Wear / Equipment
You will need trainers for the warm up session, but after that you will need to feel the part, to get maximum benefits from the class. You need to be able to grip the pole effectively, have freedom of movement and feel a bit sexy whilst doing the class. Bare legs are pretty essential if you want to grip on to the pole (you will slip with tights on). High heels are also an advantage to give you that strut. Boots that come above the ankle are useful to help you grip the pole with your ankles. The ideal outfit is a pair of fairly short shorts or hotpants, boots with heels on and something comfortable and attractive, but not restrictive on your top half.
