Land boarding is the new kid on the block when it comes to kite sports and is going to make kiting accessible to the masses! It follows the same principles as kitesurfing (a kite and a board) but you do it on land with a mountain board under your feet. Land boarding is a rapidly growing sport with a number of clubs and competitions springing up all over the country. The two day land boarding course is our comprehensive offering in this discipline and is designed to make you self-sufficient land boarder. The course covers a range of subjects, though the majority is spent flying, developing your new kite and board skills. Great fun, a few bruises go with the territory on this one..
On the first day you will start your day with a short safety briefing before being familiarised with the equipment - land board, kite, harness etc. Then it's time to have some fun! You will learn to fly and control traction kites which will get you used to the power that the kites generate. Once your kite skills are developed it is time to get you onto the board to enjoy your first runs. Day two is all about building on what you have learned on day one and improving your land boarding skills, you will practice techniques such as edging and if you are feeling brave you might want to start doing your first jumps!
