Enjoy an afternoon out in the countryside with a remarkable introduction to polo. Suitable for riders and non riders, this great introduction lets you play with HPA instructors and learn from the best! Learn on foot then play on horseback.

There is no sport quite like it; Challenging, entertaining, exhilarating but not as difficult to learn as you might think. Polo is a game that everyone can enjoy and what better way to try it than at one of Yorkshire's fastest growing and most successful polo schools. Suitable for both riders and non-riders to suit all levels of in a friendly, welcoming and encouraging environment you can be guaranteed a truly constructive and fun experience. You will learn to play polo with a HPA qualified instructor, the grounds are beautiful and the standard is high whilst keeping the emphasis on fun and enjoyment. The day out includes many more benefits than learning to play this exciting game.

Market Weighton

After a welcome coffee the rules of polo will be explained by a qualified instructor followed by a session of foot polo where short mallets are used to learn to hit the ball and play the game on foot. Then mount "Woody" our wooden pony (who goes nowhere) and learn how to use the full size mallet and practice your swing and develop your technique before being introduced to real live ponies to play "chukkas". All the ponies are well schooled and extremely well mannered and are safe for riders of all abilities. The instructor will be with you at all times and will ensure a thoroughly enjoyable and exciting time. The day out includes many more benefits than learning to play this fantastic game.

Hand mallets and wooden horse
Mount horses and learn to ride polo style
Hitting from horses
Lunch (sandwiches)
Chukkas

Maximum weight is 16 Stone.

Your experience will last approx 3 and a half hours.

Family and friends are welcome to watch.

This experience is available every day of the week, except Monday, all year round.

You should wear comfortable trousers, low heeled shoes or boots (no trainers). All other equipment will be provided.

 

This experience can be affected by extreme weather conditions.
