The Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 has been named the ultimate Performance Car of The Year 2008 in CAR magazine's annual test. In the November issue of CAR, the judges put the competitors through their paces on both road and track. The Gallardo LP 560-4 beat contenders in its super car group including the Porsche 911 GT2, Aston Martin DBS and Mercedes-Benz CLK. It then went on to win the overall competition against finalists from seven other categories, including challengers such as the Nissan GT-R, Mitsubishi Evolution 360. The Gallardo LP 560-4 is a special car to see and to drive and that's why it's Performance Car of The Year. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage has been developed for both flexibility and performance, making it not only one of the fastest Aston Martins to date, but one of the most beautiful. The advances in technology have made cars far safer and more luxurious, especially in this British supercar with its modern interior and range of modifications. The use of the lightweight material, its aerodynamic design and a remarkable 4.7L V8 engine propels the car to 180mph whilst hitting 0-60mph in just 4.7 seconds.

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with a thorough safety briefing covering all aspects of the circuit, Aston Martin & Lamborghini that you are to drive on this fantastic track day. Once briefed you'll be ready to begin the day's driving with a 3 lap demo with the instructor driving in the performance training car. Once the theory has been learnt, your day's driving will begin and you shall drive 4 laps in both the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 and the Aston Martin AMV8. This great track day will slow to a halt with the presentation of your personalised driving certificate.

You must have a full UK or European driving license with no serious offences. You must be able to drive a manual transmission.

Please allow 2 hours at the venue.

Spectators are welcome, although there is a strict 'No Pets Allowed' rule.

Courses start at a range of times on selected Saturdays and weekdays throughout the year. Extra driving laps & passenger rides can be purchased on the day.

Please be aware: Long Martston centre in Stratford Upon-Avon is now fully booked until 2011.

You should wear comfortable clothing with thin-soled shoes for driving. All safety equipment is provided by the centre.
