This is your chance to travel back in time to a simpler age and enjoy a wonderful day aboard a beautiful historic steam train which will take you to one of England's great cathedral cities. Your day will be spent in First Class where passengers are seated in individual compartments for up to six people and you will receive a glass of champagne or orange juice on boarding and coffee or tea served in china cups. In addition you will also be served a beautiful cold platter on both your outward and return journey (vegetarian options available).

With a choice of over 30 cities to choose from including Bath, Bristol, Canterbury, Salisbury, Chichester, Norwich, Wells, Lincoln, Stratford-upon-Avon, Weymouth and Exeter, this is a day to remember. The cities themselves have been carefully chosen to ensure that there is plenty to do during the three to five hours spent there. Whether it is visits to the historic cathedrals and other local sights or shopping and a cappuccino in one of the many cafes, bars or restaurants, there is plenty to see and enjoy.

From the moment you join the train you will have an enjoyable and memorable day. You will be greeted by friendly staff who will look after you throughout the trip. Sit back, relax and watch the countryside thunder past the window at speeds of up to 75 mph with the evocative sound of the engine’s whistle or the odd puff of smoke drifting passed…

Your day will start around mid morning with meeting the train at the Central London train station that your journey will begin and end at (it is also possible to join the train at out of London stops such as Woking, Staines, Reading or Wimbledon). You will board the Premier Dining Carriage and your journey will start. On the outbound journey you will be served a champagne and orange juice upon boarding, during the journey you will be served your platter and tea and coffee will be available throughout the journey. You will have a period of time (usually 3 - 5 hours) to explore your destination of choice before re-boarding the train for the return journey. Again your platter and tea and coffee will be served on the return trip. Your day will finish back in Central London.
