Discover Kayaking, Get a feel for a fast growing watersport. Utilise your surroundings, using tidal and paddle power! All safety equipment included.

Kayaking is one of the most exciting, affordable and versatile water sports available. The sport covers a huge range of different disciplines including exploring inland waterways, surfing breaking waves, negotiating white water, sprints, time trials and performing acrobatics! Once you have learnt the basics of this great watersport, the world is your oyster!  If kayaking is something that you've always fancied, our Discover Kayaking intro is the perfect taster for you. This great experience includes tuition from a qualified instructor who will provide an insight into the exciting world of kayaking. Once you feel confident enough, you will be let loose out on the open water to get a decent understanding of what this sport is all about.

Leamington Spa

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your day will begin with a thorough safety briefing covering all aspects of the water and the kayak you will be in for the experience. Once kitted out in the wetsuit and safety gear, you will be ready to head on out onto the open water to begin learning the basics. Your instructor will be providing constant tuition, including paddling and safety techniques. After you’ve had a length of time practicing the basics, you might get to take part in some on-water games and really test your skills!

Minimum Age: 14 
Maximum Weight: 16 stone in East Grinstead

(Under 18's must be accompanied by a PARTICIPATING parent / guardian.)
All Participants must be confident in the water.

Your experience will last for approximately 2 hours in Wales and 3 hours (Half Day) in East Grinstead Leamington Spa and Shropshire

Spectators are welcome. There will be a maximum of 8 people per instructor. For groups of more than 4, availability can be on demand.

Discover Kayaking is available all year at some locations, and from March-October in East Grinstead.
Saturday's and Sunday's for Leamington Spa.

The centres will provide you with the kayak, but not all will provide a wetsuit.

• You will need to bring :
• Swimming Costume
• Towel
• Sun Block (Summer)
• Warm Clothes (to change into afterwards)

In Leamington Spa & East Grinstead, you will not be provided with a wetsuit so please bring suitable clothes you don't mind getting wet!

This activity can be affected by the weather. If in doubt please contact the center before you set off for the day.
