20 Minute Microlighting Trial Flight

Experience true freedom in the air with this amazing Microlighting experience! If you've ever fancied having a go at flying, here's an opportunity to experience the thrill and excitement of this fantastic form of flight. You'll experience for yourself the immense sensation of flying in one of these small yet robust aircraft. You will either fly a fixed-wing or flex-wing aircraft, and you'll be cruising over the countryside at around 50-60 mph at up to 2000 feet. Why not have a go at being transported into a new and unique dimension.  You will have a truly magical experience that will long remain a treasured memory. 

After a pre-flight and safety briefing  you will begin with a full pre-flight safety check on the aircraft that you will be taxi'ing out onto the runway. Once airborne, you'll climb to around 2000 feet and be subjected to the most incredible views of the countryside below. Depending on the weather conditions, and whether you want to or not; you can have a go at flying the aircraft. And your instructor will show you how to perform basic flight maneuvers like turning, climbing and descending. Depending on your location, you will fly with a flex-wing or a fixed-wing.

Minimum age: 14
Maximum Weight: 15-16.5 stone (location dependant)
If you have a medical condition that you think may affect your ability to do this experience, please give us a call before booking.
Customers must call us for a weather check on the morning of their flight, (between 9-9.30am), or the evening before (between 7pm and 9pm) whatever the forecast.

You should allow 1.5 - 2 hours for the whole experience.
Your flight will last approximately 20 minutes dependent on weather conditions and which centre you choose.

Spectators are welcome and cameras are recommended.
Dogs are not allowed within the Airfield for safety reasons.

Flights run daily (except Mondays and Wednesdays).
Flying season runs from (start) May-Oct (end).
Dependent on availability and weather conditions; your experience will be in either a flexi or fixed wing Microlight.
We advise you to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
Please Note: This is a guide, flights may vary between locations, please ask upon booking.

All of the relevant flying equipment will be provided. It is recommended that you take a warm jacket or sweatshirt, as even on the warmest of days it can be a little chilly in the sky. In Winter you might also want to wear an extra pair of socks!

Microlighting is a weather dependent experience, you must check with the centre before setting off to ensure your flight is going ahead.
We do not advise you to travel more than two hours to the centre as experiences may be cancelled due to weather conditions.
