Formula Ford Thrill

The Formula Ford Track Experience, step into the passenger seat of a Ford Focus for a high speed ride, then drive the Formula Ford Racing Car

• 6 driving laps in thrilling Formula Ford racing car

This is your chance to experience the thrill of driving a Formula Ford race car, which is the car mainly used to start a racing career off before reaching the world famous Formula One level. The Formula Ford has a 1600cc 1.6 litre engine to allow you to race around the track. Before getting behind the wheel of the Formula Ford you will have track familiarisation laps in the Ford Focus with a Zetec engine where you will be taught the secrets of Formula racing world.

Chippenham

Your experience will begin with a safety and techniques briefing, where you will be taught to follow the racing lines and turning points. After the classroom you will step in the passenger seat of a Ford Focus where you will experience the one-on-one tuition as your instructor drives you around the circuit for two laps, it is then your chance to get behind the wheel and put into practice what you have learnt form your instructor for 3 laps. After you feel ready and confident with the track it is then your chance to drive the Formula Ford race car around the track. you will be given a short briefing from the pit crew, after being strapped in with helmet on and engine all fired up its all down to you as you edge onto the track for 6 laps of racing heaven. After your exhilarating laps driving the formula ford, its then back to the classroom for your presentation for certificate and driving analysis.

Maximum Height:6ft 4ins
Maximum Weight: 17st
All participants must hold a full driving licence.

Please allow 3 ½ hours at the venue to complete this experience.

Friends and family are very welcome; there is refreshments and food available on site.

This Formula Ford Thrill is available from March to December on select weekdays and Saturdays.

Please wear comfortable clothing covering arms and legs as overall are not provided, with thinly soled shoes. Helmets are provided but feel free to bring your own.

This experience will take place in most weather conditions, but if unsure please contract the centre on the day.
