Extended Gliding Lesson

Take to the sky with an experienced pilot as you board this fantastic glider. Either take control yourself or let your instructor lead the way with this incredible flying experience.

This Extended Gliding Experience is the perfect introduction to flying for those people who have always wanted to take control of a glider and reach great heights. With expert tuition you will be allowed to take the controls and actually fly the aircraft yourself for around 20-25 minutes at 3000ft. The views from the sky are truly amazing, a breathtaking and unforgettable experience.

Swindon

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre you will be briefed for your extended gliding lesson. Once the safety breifing has finished you will start to get ready for the main flight! You will meet your instructor who will be responsible for ensuring you get airborne. Once you've made it into the air you are free to enjoy the spectacular views. The instructor will encourage you to take the controls yourself, but only if you feel comfortable. You should allow 2 hours at the centre.

Minimum Height: 6ft 3in
Minimum Weight: 16 stone
If you are extraordinarily tall or short, or feel that your physique may impair your enjoyment of this activity in any way, please check with the centre when booking.

This experience lasts approximately 2 hours.

This experience is great for both individuals and groups alike. There is no extra charge for spectators to attend on the day.

The Extended Gliding Lesson is available on Weekends only.

You should wear casual and comfortable clothes with soft soled shoes such as trainers, no high heels. All safety equipment will be provided on the day.

This is a weather dependent activity. Extreme weather conditions may cause the experience to be re-arranged, please call the centre on the day to ensure it is going ahead.
