Experience the joy and reward of climbing to the top, then Abseling back down with this fantastic combination of Rock Climbing & Abseiling in Wales! All equipment and qualified instruction included.

Feel your heart race and the adrenaline pump as you experience two exhilarating outdoor pursuits! Adventure in to the wilderness of the Llangollen vale and experience the natural thrills of learning new skills in these two fantastic sports. Climb up and abseil down the rock face, and feel that great sense of reward as you improve throughout the day!

Llangollen

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your experience will begin with a safety brief and introduction to the equipment that you are to use. Then, you will learn how to move about on the rock, calculating weight transference and how to use your legs more effectively. Next you will be shown how to belay (control the rope) and then you will be climbing on some of the classic beginner routes in the vale of Llangollen. These routes will allow you to practice what you have learnt while bouldering. After bouldering you will finish off with some abseiling - the classic way to get down the cliffs on this all day experience.

Please Note: You will be required to use your own transport to get to and from the activity sites. If you will not have transport available you must let the centre know AT THE TIME OF BOOKING A DATE.

You must have a basic level of fitness for this experience.

This experience will last all day, split by lunch (not provided)

Spectators may attend the Rock Climbing session but, for their own safety and that of others, must stay clear of the top and bottom of the crag and climbing areas – our instructors will show you a safe area from which to spectate. Photographs may be taken from the bottom of the crag only – not from the top.

The Discover Rock Climbing & Abseil is available all year round, on weekdays and on weekends.

All specialist equipment such as harness and helmet will be provided by the centre. You need to wear sensible outdoor clothing (no jeans) and sturdy trainers, and take a set of waterproofs just in case it rains.

Extreme weather conditions may cause the experience from going ahead. Please call the centre on the day.
