Out of all the experiences, throughout the entire Experience Days website, there is nothing that intrigues, excites and scares me more than a For Your Eyes Only Photoshoot. I just had to try it!
After booking, the anticipation kicked in and I couldn’t help but tell everyone close to me what I was doing – I must be mad! Little did I know, that upon speaking to my mum (AKA Vicky), she said she would love to come with me as she doesn’t own any nice, sexy or flattering photos or her. So this was it, a 20-something year old with her 40-something year old mother going to a boudoir photoshoot . This was going to be a real test of skill and expertise for the girls at FYEO…!
The Day Arrives
After waiting for 3 months (which as time always does, passed too quickly!), the day arrived for our Dynamic Photoshoot in High Wycombe. We had been shopping the weekend before to ensure we had some gorgeous outfits to wear on the day as this was definitely not the time to put on your Bridget Jones knickers! We had an hour and a half journey to the converted Synagogue and as a word of advice for those of you who are lucky enough to do this amazing experience – get detailed directions as there are quite a few roundabouts on the way!

Now the nerves are really kicking in, so being the perfect daughter that puts her mum at ease, I asked her go first! We were welcomed by the all female team into a quaint but modern reception area for Vicky to have her full make-over. The walls all around us were covered in images, canvases and collections of photos, proudly placed on all walls, fully exposed and looking more gorgeous that all the images I had so far seen. We later found out that there are strictly no models are used for any promotional portraits. All these sexy and beautiful women of all shapes and sizes were the staff and clients who had agreed for FYEO to use their photos. The only thought running through my head was ‘I hope were going to look as good as that!’

Vicky’s (my mums!) Photoshoot
Vicky came out of the make-up studio looking absolutely fantastic! The make-up was very professional and totally flattering. We had just seen a pregnant lady leaving the studio and if she can do it, we definitely can! Vicky disappeared into the photography studio. An hour ½ later, she reappears and comes to find me in the lounge area. Her smile is incredible and the first words to come out of her mouth are ‘You’re going to love it!’
My Photoshoot
Vicky and I were taken through to the make-up studio again, but this time for me to be transformed. My make-up artist checked several times how much and what colours to use to make sure I was completely comfortable with it. There was a very relaxed atmosphere and although it was discrete, you seemed to loose your inhibitions as you knew what you were about to do!
My photographer Rachel and I went into the studio and she immediately put on some funky music. The studio itself was dimly lit and had props of all kinds around the room. She was calm, cool and completely relaxed and that’s when it hit me that these girls do this every day so there is nothing to worry about! She spoke to me about any body issues I had, which was extremely comforting and felt very personalised. She asked that we start with underwear only.
During the shoot itself, she was very discrete and fun throughout, and it became apparent that she was looking at the shapes and lighting being made, not my body. She directed me the whole way through and before I knew it, I was having great fun!

3 Days Later…
We were emailed with a personal message from Rachel to let us know that our photos were ready to view on the FYEO secure gallery. Vicky and I sat down together, funnily enough, just as nervous as we were before the shoot! Rachel had whittled it down to 40 amazing photos out of the 250 taken and… WOW – each of them were stunning! Is that me? Is that Vicky? Oh yes, it is! What an incredible feeling to know you can look like that – we were so impressed. They were discrete enough to share between mother and daughter, yet sexy enough to make our jaws drop!
