Beginners Indoor Rock Climbing Course

Throughout this 6 hour beginner’s course, you will learn the basic skills to become a regular climber.

This is a fantastic opportunity to discover and learn a new sport! Enjoy these 2 x 3 hour tuition lessons and progress quickly by learning and practicing the basic skills of rock climbing. With an instructor on hand throughout the sessions you are kept safe whilst being shown and encouraged to develop your techniques and confidence!

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre you will receive a briefing to discuss your lesson plan, including a safety briefing. Your lessons will start with a warm up before learning the techniques of bouldering! Your group will then be shown safe rope technique, belaying climbers at the wall, lowering correctly and tie-ing in with climbing knots. You will practice all these with your instructor on hand to help.

This experience also includes free lifetime membership to the indoor climbing centre.

Minimum Age: 14 (parental consent is needed for under 18s)
A reasonable level of fitness is required.

This experience lasts approximately 6 hours, which is split into 2 x 3 hour sessions over two days.

Maximum Group Size: 9
This experience is great for both individuals and groups alike.
Spectators are welcome to come along and watch.

This experience must be taken on either:
Monday and Wednesday evening: 18.30-21.30
Or
Saturday and Sunday morning: 10.30-13.30

Please wear comfortable clothing which does not restrict movement.
All climbing equipment (including climbing shoes) will be provided at the centre.

This is not a weather dependant experience.
