On a sunny Thursday morning in Leicestershire, Willow and I set off to Launde Abbey to take part in a sheepdog training experience. We drove though the countryside until we saw a sign that said ‘Launde Abbey.’ We initially parked at a big house thinking this was the Abbey, but soon found out we had to keep driving down a hill, until we reached a grand building and parking area. Nij was waiting for us by his green pick-up truck, and after we were acquainted, he guided us inside for a hot drink. He explained that having a chat over a cup of tea is a chance for him to find out what inspired the customers to do this experience, so he can tailor the day to suit their preferences.

Compared to today’s wet weather, the 18th of October was a lovely sunny day, perfect for travelling up to London! Gemma and I were heading to the capital to take part in an arty creative class with M.Y.O. London. Excited to see what our class entailed, we jumped on the tube from London Victoria straight to Borough station, and within a 4-minute walk, we were at the doors of M.Y.O.

Friday had arrived, and Willow and I were heading up to London for a unique evening out! We had been invited to Proud Embankment to dine and drink cocktails whilst watching their exclusive cabaret performances. We had already visited their Cocktail Club City venue, so when the opportunity arose to go to their bigger venue, we were delighted.

I haven’t ridden a bike in years, so when the opportunity arose to go on a bike tour of Hampton Court, I was beyond excited. I could practically feel my inner child jumping up and down. Willow and I travelled up to London, and stayed overnight in a hotel ready for Friday morning’s activities. We woke up early enough to ensure we had plenty of time to enjoy the breakfast buffet. With Hampton Court only a 10-minute taxi drive away, we were able to leave at 10am, making us right on time to meet our guide at 10.15.

Now this was definitely a Fast and Furious moment! This experience, located down South in the small town of Chichester, is an absolute must for speed and thrill enthusiasts. After a short drive through country lanes, Gemma and I came across a small dirt track, with signs set up outside for Forster’s Racing School. This opened up into a race buggy heaven.
