Aqua Sphereing (Zorbing) for 1

Ever wondered what it's like in a washing machine? Of course you have...well now try it yourself! Aqua Sphereing is a variation of the latest adrenaline craze to hit the UK. Take a 12 foot inflatable ball which has an inner chamber (that's where you go), lob in a few buckets of water and then roll down a hill. With no harnesses, you are completely free in the ball, as you slip and slide around inside the ball accompanied by thirty litres of water. You will take an extreme trip sliding down the hill, riding the water in the Sphere. A little bit mental but great fun all the same, wet n' wild!

On arrival at the site you will make yourself known at the main desk; when your time comes you will get inside the Sphere. The Sphere consists of two chambers. The outer chamber, which is the shell of the Sphere, is 12ft (3.6m) tall, and the inner chamber is 6ft (1.8m) tall, meaning there is a 3ft (0.9m) cushion of air. 30 litres of water are then put into the mix before are rolled down the hill where you will reach speeds of up to 30mph, expect to be dizzy and wet at the bottom!

Weight Restrictions: Maximum 16stone (Women) 18stone (Men) (60" girth)
Age Restrictions: Minimum age is 7 for all locations except Scotland – where its 16 (Parental consent is required in all locations if under 18)

It is strongly recommended that you do not eat too much or consume any alcohol before riding in the Sphere. Please Note: Aqua-Sphereing is not suitable if you are pregnant, suffering from high blood pressure, any heart condition or epilepsy, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, have any back or neck problems or have had an operation within the past twelve months, currently undergoing any medical treatment or have any other condition that may be affected by participating in such an activity.

As a guide, please expect to be at the site for around an hour, however, at certain times in the season, the waiting time may be longer than this.

You are welcome to bring along friends and relatives to watch. There are strict health & safety regulations in place that must be followed by all whilst on site.

Aqua-sphereing is available from April until the end of September and operates most weekends with selected weekdays.
In Newquay it is available from May until September.

Please be aware, different locations have different closing dates and may finish the season as early as mid September.

Please wear a long sleeved t-shirt and comfortable trousers. Remember - you will get wet! So bring a towel and change of clothes. You also need to bring socks and gloves to wear in the Aqua Sphere. All Spherers need to remove ALL jewellery - watch, rings, necklace, piercings etc.

Sphereing can be affected by extreme weather, if in doubt please check with the centre before setting off.
