This superb flying lesson gives you 30 minutes toward Private Pilot's License and a truly excellent experience in a futuristic flying machine! The Robinson R22 is a two-bladed, single engine helicopter fitted with two seats. Designed in 1973 by Frank Robinson, the lightweight helicopter is commonly used to patrol ranches in North America and Australia, as the relatively low running costs and obvious aerial advantage provided by the £150,000 helicopter are perfect for livestock control. On this great flying lesson you will be taking the controls and seeing the World from a new and much improved perspective!

Upon arrival to the centre your day will begin with a 30 minute safety briefing covering the helicopter controls and the countryside surrounding you. You will then begin your 30 min lesson with an expert instructor providing constant tuition throughout your flight, providing advice on the controls and how to get the best out of the Robinson R22. This 30 minute lesson will count as the first stage of your Private Pilot’s lesson. To finish this great flying lesson, you will be presented with a certificate, which counts as part 1 of your Private Pilot’s License.

Flying time: 30 mins, but expect to be at the centre for 1.5 hours.

Spectators are encouraged to come along and take pictures.

Available 7 days a week all year (except Christmas Eve, Christmas Day & Boxing day)
Not run on Sundays in Stafford.

Please Note: Locations are subject to change due to operational requirements.

Wear sunglasses and layers that you can remove if it is too hot or cold. Jeans & Trainers are fine.
