Embark on a two day RYA course and discover the basics on powerboating. Explore the stunning Scotish coastline as your qualified instructor teaches you the skills and techniques to handling the immensley powerful boats. With full safety proceedures and thrilling high speed manoeuvres, you are in for a well-rounded powerboating experience!

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your Two Day Course will begin with a full safety briefing as you are kitted out in the necessary safety gear. Throughout the course you will take part in a number of practical lessons to ensure you learn the basic skills to handling and controlling the powerboats, including launching, recovery, preparing the boat and crew before you sail, high and low speed manoeuvres, picking up buoys, mooring alongside other boats safely and the all important skill of navigation. Complimenting the intense pratical tuition, you will also make a number of stops along the coast to learn the theory about International Regulations, whilst having the chance to take in the stunning scencery. You will leave feeling confident in your new found skills, and with a International Certificate of Competence (ICC) and RYA PowerBoat Course Book remember the important techniques for next time!

Your experience includes light lunches and refreshments throughout the two day course.

Minimum age in order to take part in the course is 12 years old and a reasonable level of fitness is required.

Please allow around 16 hours to complete your course. Each days will run from approximately 9am till 5pm.

There will be a maximum of 3 course students to each instructor. The course is not suitable for spectators.

This course is available throughout the year on weekends and on selected weekdays.

Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions on the day; it is advisable that you bring sun cream, sunglasses, a hat and gloves.

This experience will go ahead in most weather conditions, please check with the centre before leaving.
