Discover the thrill of powerboating as you explore the beautiful scenery of Scotlands coastline. With a qualified instructor on hand throughout the day progress quickly through the basics. Learn an array proceedures from launching the boat to high speed manoeuvres and with a full day of practice perfect your techniques!

Once you have arrived and been welcomed to the centre your experience will begin with a full safety briefing and introduction to powerboating. The qualified instructor will run your through the basic techniques of handling as you are kitted out in the neccessary safety equipment. Now to jump aboard and put the theory to practice! Discover the basic skills and proceedures with a full practical lesson, including launching, recovery, preparing the boat and crew before you sail, high speed manoeuvres, picking up buoys, mooring alongside other boats safely and the all important skill of navigation. Throughout the experience you will stop at a number of locations to give you time to take in the stunning views. In small groups, this course is fantastic for learning the in-depth techniques of powerboating and as your arrive back at the centre you will recieve a RYA PowerBoat Book and Pass Certificate to remember your day by.

Your experience includes a light lunch and refreshments throughout the day.

Minimum age in order to take part in the course is 12 years old.

Please allow around 8 hours to complete your course.

There will be a maximum of 3 course students to each instructor. The course is not suitable for spectators.

This course is available throughout the year on weekends and on selected weekdays.

Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions on the day; it is advisable that you bring sun cream, sunglasses, a hat and gloves depending on the weather.

This experience will go ahead in most weather conditions, please check with the centre before leaving.
